Terms of Use
Last updated 27 July 2026
Pet Disco is a place to share short videos of your animals. By creating an account you agree to these terms. They're written to be read, not to be impressive - if anything here is unclear, ask.
Who can use it
You must be at least 13 years old. One person, one account. You're responsible for what happens under your account, so keep access to your email secure - that's how signing in works.
What you can post
Post your own animals doing their thing. Only upload content you made or have the right to share, and don't post other people's videos as if they were yours.
Packs
Everything on Pet Disco happens through a pack - a family, a group of friends, a shelter or NGO, a company. Animals belong to a pack rather than to a person, and every clip is posted as the pack it belongs to, so a post shows the animals in it and the pack's name rather than your own.
Anyone in a pack can post as it and tag its animals, and an owner can invite people, add animals and edit the pack. Only invite people you actually want posting under your pack's name, and only join packs you're happy to be publicly listed in - a pack's members and animals are visible to anyone who visits its page.
A pack can publish contact details on its page: a website, email address, phone number, postal address and social handles. Anything you put there is public to everyone, signed in or not. Don't publish someone else's contact details without their agreement, and don't publish a home address that isn't yours to share.
Clips belong to the pack they were posted as. If you leave a pack, what you posted stays with it. Delete anything you don't want left behind before you go.
What you must not post
- Animal cruelty or harm. Nothing showing animals being hurt, neglected, frightened for entertainment, forced to fight, or kept in cruel conditions - and nothing that encourages or celebrates any of it. This is the one we care about most.
- Nudity or sexual content. No nudity, sexual content, or sexualised content of any kind, including anything involving animals.
- Violence or gore. No graphic violence, injury, or death, human or animal.
- Harassment or hate. No bullying, threats, or attacks on people because of who they are.
- Impersonation. Don't pretend to be someone else, or claim someone else's animals as yours. Don't set up a pack that passes itself off as an organisation, shelter or company you have no connection to.
- Spam or scams. No bulk posting, misleading links, or attempts to sell things through the feed.
- Anything illegal, or anything that infringes someone else's copyright, trademark, or privacy.
- Other people's private moments. Don't post identifiable people without their agreement.
Keeping it that way
If you see a post or comment that's offensive, abusive, or otherwise breaks these rules, you can flag it from its menu, and you can block any account you'd rather not see. A post that a small number of different people flag is automatically hidden from public view while we review it, even before anyone looks at the admin panel. We review what gets reported, and reinstate content that was flagged in error. If something breaks these rules we may remove it, and if it's serious or repeated we may suspend or delete the account behind it - for animal cruelty, immediately and without warning.
Your content stays yours
You keep ownership of everything you post. You give us permission to store it, process it, and show it to other people using Pet Disco - that's what makes the feed work. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account, apart from copies we may need to keep briefly in backups.
Closing your account
You can stop using Pet Disco whenever you like. You can delete your account yourself - in the app under Settings on your profile, or on the website at the bottom of your profile page - or ask us to do it by emailing [email protected]. Deleting is immediate and can't be undone; the privacy policy sets out exactly what is removed and what happens to packs you share with other people. We may close an account that breaks these terms.
No promises about uptime
Pet Disco is provided as-is. It's run by one person as a personal project: it may be unavailable, may lose data, and may change or shut down. Please keep your own copies of videos that matter to you. To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for loss arising from your use of the service.
Changes
When these terms change in a way that affects you, we'll ask you to review and accept the new version next time you open Pet Disco. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
